Vishnu Priya is a disciple of Dr.Padma Mallela and trained under Sangeetha Bharathi before completing her Graduate Diploma under Academy of fine Arts (London). She then underwent advanced training for 12 years under Dr. Mangalampally Balamuralikrishna and simultaneously trained under Dr. Radha Venkatachalam from Delhi. She currently heads the Sweden Chapter of Sangeetha Bharathi and is a graded artiste in devotional music from All India Radio. She also completed her Bachelors in Engineering and is currently working as a UX Designer in Sweden.

On the eve of this Margashira Pournami, with the blessings of my gurus and elders, I have decided to record 108 Divya Nama and Utsava sampradaya krithis of Sadguru Thyagaraja swamy.

I aspire to offer one krithi a day to the lord and finish 108 or more by Sri Rama Navami of 2021.

My aim is to highlight the lyrical and musical beauty of these compositions. I will be singing all the charanams of the krithis, which I normally don't get a chance to do when I give musical performances.

Here's hoping that we can all rejoice in celebrating the invaluable Rama bhakti samrajyam!

The first composition is a Dasavathara krithi. Thyagaraja visualises Sri Rama in all of the Ten Avataras of lord Vishnu and describes the speciality of each of them in the 10 charanas.
